Aurora Records

Aurora Records was a Canadian record label that operated between 1931 and 1934, produced for the T. Eaton Co. Ltd., Canada’s largest mail-order retailer at the time. Aurora records were sold through Eaton’s stores and catalogs, offering customers an affordable selection of popular music. The label’s releases came from established recording companies, with the early 22000 series (issued in 1931) sourced from Brunswick and Melotone masters, while later releases used Victor masters. Like many private-label brands of the era, Aurora Records provided budget-conscious consumers with access to major-label recordings under a different name before eventually ceasing production.
